About Me
Here's a bit about me... I started as a customer service representative about 15 years ago (2010) and was rank-and-file for a little over 4 years. During that time, aside from the skills I have acquired as a Customer Service Representative doing inbound and outbound calls, I had the opportunity to also be trained in QA and leadership roles.
In June 2014, I accepted a leadership role in a smaller BPO company, and stayed for 6 years as an Operations & Project Manager, selling solar system equipment and handling the training facility for aspiring agents.
In my pursuit of a better career path, I have discovered Digital Marketing in 2010, and self studied through free resources from Google where I have earned certificates in Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Google Digital Sales.
I was not quite satisfied with my learning, and had the lingering question about who makes the rules for all these digital marketing stuff. I learned that programmers write these rules that make the internet roll. Before that, I was just a total ignorant surfing the web for whatever I want. This acquired knowledge opened a lot of things for me.
I did not hesitate to immerse myself into programming and took up Freecodecamp's Full Stack Developer curriculum. I was very happy with the learning experience and was excited to move forward with this new career path.
It was at the height of the Covid-19 Pandemic that I've had this opportunity to complete the free resources and earn my certificates. However, it was bitter sweet that after submitting a few applications, I actually got hired, but not as a developer but as an IT Operations & Project Manager. Although it wasn't the role I was aiming for, I took it as a challenge and an opportunity to learn more and practically was my foot at the door of the IT industry.
Looking back, every step of my career—whether it was customer service, operations, digital marketing, or programming—has led me closer to what I really enjoy: managing projects, helping teams work better together, and making sure things actually get done.
Landing in IT project management wasn’t exactly where I thought I’d end up, but it turned out to be the right move. It gave me hands-on experience in the tech world and showed me how much I enjoy being the bridge between ideas and execution.
While I still keep up with web development to support my growth and stay connected to the technical side of things, my main focus these days is building a solid path forward in project management—leading teams, improving processes, and delivering work that matters.
I’m always looking for ways to grow, collaborate, and contribute—especially in projects that make a difference.
